York Archaeological Trust for Excavation and Research Limited
Date
April 2013
Description
Desk-based assessment prepared in support of a planning application for residential development of a c 3.5ha area of agricultural land to the north of Crewe Road, Alsager.
No archaeological sites were identified within the application area although there remains the potential for unknown buried archaeology on the site.
The evidence from the study area is quite slight but there is a possibility that prehistoric material, such as investigated at the neighbouring White Moss, could be encountered on or around the site.
