Description
Location of 1x3 metre test trench dug on the playing field behind Eccleston Church of England Primary School by Meggen Gondek and Jo Kirton on behalf of Chester Archaeological Society Eccleston test pitting project. 1m down to natural in the trench – natural is clay about 40cm down. Sparse post-medieval pottery and brick finds. Information and trench location supplied to Julie Edwards by Meggen Gondek in advance of publication.
