Description
The HLC Project has identified the site as Ancient Fieldscapes with the type classification as Medieval Townfields; earthwork field boundaries had been identified from aerial photographs. The survey was commissioned in line with HLC Project recommendations to assess the character and signicance of the Historic Landscape. The survey did not note any house platforms or ridge and furrow within the site however it did record that linear earthworks were present representing relic field boundaries. The report concludes that the field boundaries respect and utilise relic land divisions created in the medieval or post-medieval periods.
