Description

An archaeological watching brief was carried out on excavations for trial holes in advance of the erection of new signs at two locations in Chester. The frist trial hole was located overlooking the Little Roodee car park, while the second was to the west of the Watergate. The results of the monitoring at both holes revealed that nineteenth century and later material extend to a depth of 0.75m below ground level.
