Description
An archaeological watching brief was maintained during re-construction of a section of the churchyard wall at Neston parish church. The relevant section lay to the south of the church, immediately to the north of the modern vicarage and had partially collapsed. Observation of the foundation trenches for new buttresses revealed natural drift geology over bedrock. Finds associated with the foundation of the wall suggested that the present wall dates from the 1870s.
