Description
Watching brief on small scale works to the rear of Pepper Street in 1984 recorded traces of the south perimeter wall of the Roman fortress baths on Bridge Street. (Note this work was carried out some distance to the north of a nearby Pepper Street site that recorded the Roman defences).
Photographic archive notes a post medieval timber lined pit on the site.
