Description
Trial trenching was carried out in connection with proposals for the construction of an extension to St Peetr's parish church. The trenching revealed numberous articulated post-medieval burials down to the lkevel of the natural deposits, which were also cut by post-medieval graves. There was no indication the pre-Conquest, medieval, or early post-medieval features and graves had survived the intensive use of this part of the graveyard for burial during the last c 200years.
