Description

A Roman cinerary urn was discovered in March 1981 during building work at 33 Eaton Road. Following its chance discovery by the workmen on site, limited salvage work by Grosvenor Museum staff was carried out to recover fragments of burnt human bone, clay lumps and clayey soils (1).
