Description
Numerous Roman remains recorded during excavations for what were then the new almshouses at St John's Hospital, including an antefix fragment with an incised boar in 1852 - 1853. Also reported was a large quantity of Samian ware and other pottery, a few bronze relics including a fibula (2).
