Description
Reference to substantial Roman structures observed by Mr D Petch in 1967. Said to be found at the eastern end of Stanley Place in the same area as a Roman concrete floor exposed in 1920 and some 35m northeast of two column bases recorded in 1845 (1). Unpublished, handwritten notes indicate at least 7 test pits were excavated.
