Description

Small scale excavation in advance of construction of an electricity sub station. An accumulation of soils up to the early fourteenth century was noted after which several post medieval rubbish pits were noted. The excavation clipped the edge of a late medieval kiln or oven constructed of clay and sandstone (1).
