Description

Building survey carried out in advance of redevelopment. Behind the present facade the building consists of a sandstone walled undercroft with corbels of a 14th century appearance. In and on this stone structure there are at least three subsequent phases of development. The Row front wall appears to have been rebuilt slightly forward of its earliler line and the floor level had been raised although no approximate date was given to this. (1)
