Site Event/Activity record ECH5072 - Excavations near Bluecoat Hospital, Upper Northgate Street in 1974 (Chester)

In late 1974, an opportunity to examine the nature of the stratigraphy in the vicinity of the Blue Coat (or Bluecoat) Hospital became available during the excavation of a number of trenches for power mains. Bedrock was reported at 0.3m below the surface, no information on any archaeology present is available (1).
