Description

Leche House is a late medieval town house on the south side of Watergate Street and is the only building to retain an original open hall. Repairs to the rear wall of the building allowed for the opportunity to make a detailed record of the exposed features. The building contains a 14th century sandstone undercroft with 15th century upper floors that were extended in the 17th century. The rear wall is timber framed and dates to the late 15th century but the original daub infill has been replaced with brick (1)
