Description

In 1871 large amounts of sediment were removed from the ruins of the Choir and Choir Chapels of the Collegiate Church of St John the Baptist, Chester, an accumulation that had largely been there since the tower collapse in the late 1400s. Four flat carved stones were found, bearing coats of arms.
