Description
Short history provided as an introduction to the monument, followed by an account of the surviving Norman elements of the Cathedral. The source contains several sketches of architectural fragments as well as floor plans. Mention is made on p62 of the 'so-called Promptuarium, lately excavated' (Promptuarium = Store room or buttery). The room was cleared and restored in 1849. It is suggested by the author that the room at one time may have extended further north
