Description
This event was a geophysical survey of two boreholes and dynamic probe tests, in the area of 28 North St., Chester, in advance of the construction of three small houses on the site. It was concluded that the sediments were loose (NB: that loose sediment included brick and ash), and unsuitable for conventional foundations and recommended against raft-type foundations. Compact sand was found at 6m depth.
