Site Event/Activity record ECH4850 - Geophysical survey in the Northgate development area, Chester 2001

Geophysical survey (Ground penetrating radar) undertaken on several sites across the Northgate development area. Limitations of the survey were noted due to the difficulties of carrying out survey in urban areas including the proximity of ferrous material and the extent of services and utilities. Features suggestive of archaeological deposits were noted in most of the survey areas with the exception of Hunter Street, the Bowling Green and the Council Offices site.
