Date

Description
This event was an examination of the standing remains and an assessment of the timbers recovered following a fire at 69 and 71 - 73 Bridge St. Row, Chester, to inform the former Chester City Council on the original form of the building and the extent to which reconstruction was possible. The survey concluded that the surviving timbers were in poor condition, and would only be appropriate for re-use in non-structural partitioning within the building, a form of reuse that was considered in character with the previous building on the site.
