Description
Watching brief carried out during installation of new water main by United Utilities along Friarsgate, Warrington (immediately to the north of friary). Observations revealed a sandstone layer which could ultimately derive from demolished friary buiildings. The deposit had, however, been laid fairly recently as it sealed the cut fro an iron water main.
