Description
An archaeological watching brief carried out during cellar refurbishment work (including new access) at the site of 2 Blackfriars Court, near the intersection of Black Friars and Nun's Rd. The site was thought to have high archaeological potential as it lay within the area of Roman extramural settlement and at the boundary between Chester's former Dominican and Franciscan friaries. Roman and post medieval building materials were reported.
