Description
Following reports of the discovery of Roman pottery on the site during the construction of a new car park, the site was visited by Matt Wheeler of northwich Museum on behalf of the Archaeology Planning Advisory Service. No features or artefacts were recovered but subsequently a piece of samian was delivered to the museum by Mr Lester. He said that his source, claimed other material hasd been present but had been removed off site.
