Description
An archaeological watching brief carried out at 1 Stanley Place, Chester, as a condition on planning consent for engineering works. The works identified a considerable depth of post medieval ground, up to 0.75m. Residual finds included Romano-British and post medieval pottery and building materials indicating a potential for archaeological survival sealed by this layer.
