Date
July 2008
Description
Watching brief carried out during first phase of an ongoing programme of topsoil stripping at the eastern extension to Dingle Bank Quarry, Chelford. Main interest attaches to the rapid excavation and recording of a small post-medieval farmstead at the eastern edge of the quarry. This had been identified during the earlier desk-based element of the work as the Lodge, a building marked on various 19th-century maps.
