Description

At the time of the site visit the strip foundations for the new extensions had been excavated through a deep garden soil (c 1m) overlying natural sand over clay. No evidence of archaeological features and clearly beyond the western limits of the town's waterlogged deposits. A large mill stone had been recovered from the garden during groundworks and was to be retained within the development.
