Description

Works in the south porch involved lifting of the floor slabs which revealed a quantity of disarticulated human bone and some in situ material. The burials were not lifted as no further ground reduction was planned. The exposed surfaces were covered with polythene sheeting and clean sand before a new floor was laid.
