Description

An archaeological excavation was carried out to the rear of the Bluecoat school in Chester, comprising of hand excavation of an area of 49 square metres. Carried out to fulfill planning conditions required in advance of a new build almshouse. Seven phases of activity were identified, dating from first century to modern times. Fragmented human bone was also identified in many deposits (1).
