Description

Building recording and interpretation of the timber-framed building suggested that the structure was not 17th-century in origin, as described in the documentation accompanying its Grade II Listing, but was constructed from salvaged timbers on its present site between 1841 and 1901. The timbers were possibly derived from a now demolished structure that once stood to the east of the present structure.
