Description

Archaeological watching brief was required during a programme of fence renewal along the north and east boundaries of the scheduled monument at Eddisbury Hillfort. No finds were recovered and no evidence of the outer ditch was identified at this location. A number of sandstone blocks were identified in the postholes possibly representing part of a wall revetment associated with the ploughed field to the north-east.
