Description
Four cores were extracted from the remaining peat deposits at South Arclid, nr Sandbach in order to assess the depth, condition and potential of the deposits as a palaeaoenvironmental resource. Peat depth was found to be at least 4.80m with good pollen and macro fossil preservation.
