Description
An archaeological Watching Brief at the Steam Mill, Steam Mill St., Chester following on from previous recording work and during ground disturbing works throughout the development of the site (1). The development area extended from Russell St. to Steam Mill St. The Grade II Listed Steam Mill buildings and the Mill Office built in 1897 were to be retained, but sympathetically altered as part of their development (1). Only post-medieval deposits were impacted during the groundworks.
