Description
Site lies to south of Area of Archaeological Potential, as defined in Stockton Heath Cheshire Historic Towns survey report. It is also 150m east of line of Roman road. Roman remains were therefore not expected. Viewing of site revealed no evidence of Roman remains. There were however a number of sandstone blocks which may have led people to believe that archaeology was present.
