Description
An archaeological evaluation undertaken during November 2006 on land to the west of Treborth Road, Blacon, Chester. Topographically the site location - south west facing and overlooking the Dee Estuary - is an area where early settlement may be anticipated.
Eleven linear evaluation trenches revealed that there had been extensive and deep modern disturbance across the area. Although the remains of structure of twentieth century date were identified, no feature, deposits or artefacts of archaeological significance were noted during trial trenching.
