Description

An archaeological evaluation where seven trenches were excavated as the first phase of archaeological investigation at the proposed development site at Chester Business Park. No archaeological remains were identified, and no further archaeological work should be necessary. A previous borehole survey found made ground in the locations where these trenches were later situated, but the archaeological work established that the made ground was significantly deeper than anticipated.
