Site Event/Activity record ECH4316 - Watching Brief at Church Lane, Farndon, Cheshire.

Over the majority of the site no features or deposits of archaeological merit were identified. Despite the retrieval of a probable post-medieval find from the post-hole, overall it has been concluded that the feature is suggestive of earlier activity at the southern end of the site. No firm conclusions can be drawn regarding the nature, extent or period of the activity, but any opportunity for more detailed and controlled archaeological investigation in this general location may prove worthwhile.
