Date
January 2007
Description
The investigation comprised the monitoring of the excavation of a single foundation trench along the south edge of the site and six footing pits located across the site (1). These foundations were for an extension to the south of the existing building. The excavation demonstrated that the site had been levelled during the twentieth century, when a previous building had been demolished to make way for a tarmac-surfaced car park. No other archaeological features or deposits are reported (1).
