Description
Site inspected after excavation of foundation trenches. Trenches dug to a depth of 90cm and measured 75cm wide. Black garden soil (40cm depth) visible at top of section contained small (< 2cm) fragments of modern orange brick, 2 - 3 pieces of barbed wire (in northernmost foundation trench) and lump of re-deposited concrete measuring 24cm x 8cm visible in section (In westernmost foundation trench). Light sandy layer (7cm depth) overlaying dark brown clay (50-53cm) lay beneath the black garden soil. No archaeological features present.
