Description
Site is c.200m to SW of southernmost known Roman acticity (Davelynn House) on west bank of Weaver river at Nantwich. The aim of the exercise was to confirm the absence of Roman remains in this area. At the time of the the visit, the buildings were being demolished and natural sand was exposed over much of the site. There was much disturbance but no evidence of archaeological activity of Roman or any other date.
