Description
An archaeological assessment undertaken prior to the expansion of Risley Landfill Facility. The assessment incorporated a review of the documentary sources available for the development area and the surrounding landscape, and outlines the results of a walkover survey that undertaken on the 1st February 2006. The walkover did not identify any new features and assessment identified the potential for of buried land surfaces below peat on sand islands.
