Ten pits were dug abutting the gable wall to allow for the underpinning of the property. Each was approximately 1m x 0.7m and 0.7m deep. Each pit contained similar mixed deposits of modern material. No archaeological deposits were encountered. The uppermost deposit consisted of red-brown sandy silt, and extended 0.05m below ground level. Below this was a thick layer of modern grey concrete extending ot a dpeth of 0.35m. The concrete deposit sealed in a mixed dark brown silty sand which extended beyond the base of the trench.
