Description
Visit to inspect gas main trench in churchyard.
A trench 12 inches deep was hand dug between the churchyard wall and the church. The spoil was returned to trench to await the installation of the gas pipe. Spoil was very loose and contained fragments of roofing slate and modern glazed tiles. Some disarticulate bone found but no other archaeological finds present.
