Visit to inspect foundation trenches for new garage. Foundation trenches for new garage at rear of no.7 inspected. These had been excavated to 1.2 metres through a deep homogenous garden soil down to natural clay. No early finds in spoil and no waterlogging. A linear feature seen cut into clay at two points (see annotated drawing in file) but not visible in section. Possible rear boundary ditch but modern brick in the fill.
