Site Event/Activity record ECH4120 - 44 King Street, Middlewich

Visit to inspect foundation trenches for extension to the rear of the property. Inspection iof a portion of the foundation trench revealed a deep layer of topsoil above a layerof mixed sandy deposits (disturbed by worm and root activitiy), This layer is similar to those excavated on the other side of King Street. No artefacts were recovered though roman coarseware fragments have been found in rotivated topsoil at the end of the garden.
