Description
(DUPLICATE EVENT OF ECH3489 created as part of backlog event data creation in 2005)
At the time of visit, c 0.3m of material had been removed from the footprint of the proposed building. This deposit consisted of a dark soil containing much brick rubble and modern debris. No significant artefacts were recovered fromt the spoil derived from these groundworks. A deeper trench, excavated to a depth of c 0.5m along the northern limits of the new building, revealed that this same deposit continued to at least this depth, with increasing quantities of brick rubble occuring with depth.
