At time of site visit topsoil stripped in area of new house plot. Up to 1m depth at rear of plot, shallower to front. Much recent and post-medieval material in top soil. In places natural sand exposed but not completely: cannot be sure that no features present but sufficient seen to establish that no waterlogged wood present. Sand appeared very dry considering the time of year and weather.
