Description
Three trenches were excavated to evaluate the site. They found extensive modern disturbance particularly towards the south of the site. In one trench a possible late seventeenth/early eighteenth century property boundary was seen. The third trench was positioned to see if this boundary continued, but that particular area had been disturbed. However, further north in the trench a medieval soil was identified which sealed three pits and two gullies of medieval date.
