Description
Planning appl no: 35498/3. Foundation trenches for bungalow observed by Jo Clark on 16 Sept 2004. Site previously used as allotments and much of sections comprised rich, dark, root mixed soil associated with this useage. Trenches were c. 1m to 1.5m in depth and in most cases down to natural sand and clay. Very clean soil, with few inclusions. In the upper horizon a spread of brick fragments extended for c 4m in section - a late demolition layer.
