Description
An archaeological evaluation of land at 26-34 Bridge Street, Warrington. The evaluation comprised four 2 x 2m trial trenches located to investigate the potential survival of archaeological remains and the extent of nineteenth century cellarage. The evaluation exercise has provided a valuable insight into the archaeological potential of the site, demonstrating that remains from three phases of activity survive; Romano-British, Medieval and late nineteenth/early twentieth century cellarage.
