Description
An archaeological excavation, comprising a trench c. 200m2 in area, which revealed medieval pits, ditches and deposits. A significant assemblage of medieval ceramics and a late thirteenth century Scottish 'long cross' penny was recovered from these features. A number of post-Medieval features were also revealed, producing ceramic artefacts dating from the sixteenth to nineteenth centuries.
