Description
An archaeological watching brief was undertaken in 2001 for a site at Wood Farm, Middlewich Road, Woolstanwood, which is proposed for a residential development. The site lies adjacent to a scheduled moat and fish pond. The watching brief indentified a sequence of levelling and development on site from the Victorian period. No archaeological deposits associated with the moat were identified. (1)
